Let Us Cease the Fat Loss Lunacy

The fat loss lunacy in the United States is mind-blowing.  But I was one of the lunatics spending thousands of dollars on weight loss products and services.  Until NOW!  I am now dropping the pounds fast with little effort using a simple system I believe anyone can do and afford.

“The U.S. weight loss market is now worth a record $66 billion, but the number of dieters has fallen, due to the growth of the size acceptance and body positivity movement.”.

First of all, let me say that my journey to a rapid weight loss was not fast.  To lose weight at all, I needed to heal the spiritual, physical and mental barriers that were keeping me not only obese but broken.  To clarify, I had to fix what was eating me to execute on what was necessary to lose the weight and maintain that fat loss.

February 2016 – My Fat to Fit Journey Began

In February 2016 I turned fifty.  Due to this significant life event, my husband gifted me a cruise in Southeast Asia.  The trip was a difficult one.  I spent a considerable amount of time on the balcony of our suite assessing my life thus far and also too uncomfortable with my appearance to be sociable.  I was miserable!  What was truly sad was that we had been on a lot of amazing vacations and because of how I felt about my weight the experience I had was far inferior to what it should have been.  My husband would consistently ask me why I was unable to accept myself as I was.  Firstly, the culture in the United States does not forgive when it comes to obesity.  Secondly, I was painfully aware of how unhealthy it was to have an excessive amount of fat.  My mortality was consistently on my mind.  Thirdly, I was spiritualy, physically and mentally broken.

"Getting healthy isn't just about losing weight. It's not limited to adjusting our diet and hoping for good physical results. It's about recalibrating our souls so that we want to change - spiritually, physically, and mentally. and the battle really is in all three areas." Quote by Lysa TerKeurst

When the Student is Ready the Teacher Appears

The teacher?  Tim Ferris and his podcast The Tim Ferris Show.  Tim’s podcast was my introduction to a whole host of tools of titans and a tribe of mentors that would guide me on my journey to heal spiritually, physically and mentally.  I have learned more in three hundred and forty-nine episodes of Tim’s podcast then many years of secondary education, I think and paid ZERO for it…ZERO!  Thank YOU, Tim Ferris!  https://tim.blog/podcast/

Execution on What I Have Learned

It has now been almost three years since my journey of spiritual, physical and mental healing began and I have come so far.   I have instituted daily habits that have helped tremendously in moving me from a place of self-hate and self-loathing to self-love and self-respect.  I believe that without self-love and self-respect you will never experience sustained success in every area of your life.  A few of the habits I do that have exponentially changed my life for the better are daily meditation, positive self-talk, and affirmations.  Also reading the books and blogs and listening to podcasts of the many mentors I was introduced too through The Tim Ferris Show has been immensely helpful in my healing process.  It is now time to put to the test everything I have learned and challenge myself exponentially!
